Misconception about snakes is that they are NOT aggressive animals and would rather avoid a confrontation out in the wild with a human. My snakes are all handled from the time they are babies through their adulthood and they trust people and are very calm and laid back and social animals. Actually my snakes beg me to take them out of their enclosures to spend time with me and they love to watch TV with me and my computer monitor,

Faide (Dumeril's Ground Boa) was upset with me and VERY cranky when I took him outdoors yesterday and he let me know that he wasn't at all pleased with the fact that I hadn't had him outdoors in a few weeks but with handling he got over being upset with me. People refuse to believe that snakes display emotions of any sort but they most certainly do and EACH snake has it's own personality and temperament no different from any other animal !!

Christina Disobey Ladevig has a snake fan club :) Just turned on my computer and started watching her video on my wall o facebook and her voice caught their attention so they came out of their hide and watched her video with me. Very entranced by Christina :o)

I had to make a video of the Corn Snake babies playing in their water tray because this has become an everyday and night ritual for all of them and it's so entertaining watching the snakes social life and activities especially living in a captive environment :) They go back and forth from watching the television to playing in their pool inside their enclosures for hours at a time and are just the cutest thing ever !! Snakes really enjoy activities and having some freedom to explore and enhance their senses and many people think they are content just laying around in their enclosures all the time which I've found through many years of working with and raising snakes that they do enjoy having a social form of life with each other. !!!

Yesterday I took two of my largest snakes outdoors for some freedom and they had a great day, They are really gentle giants so I don't understand why so many people assume they are big evil killing machines :(
I've had some health problems for the past 3 months and have had to use one foot and crutch to take care of my snakes and home so for the first time this year it felt great to be feeling better and to be able to take two of my largest constrictor snakes out and they had a great time exploring and having some freedom. The snakes in this video are Faide (Dumeril's Ground Boa) and Chewy (Coastal Carpet Python) Also in this video is my Daughter, Carla Valentine Combs that has been staying with me to help me because of my problems getting around for the past few months and in the process she has made great friends with some of my largest snakes :o)

Breeding and producing baby snakes is a wonderful and amazing experience especially when they hatch from eggs. These are the five babies I produced that I'm holding back for future breeding projects out of the thirty one baby Corn Snakes that I produced this past year. I had several request to do an update video on how the babies are progressing and how big they have grown :) There will be a second video following this one since I promised a friend that I would do a nice update on the babies.

My snakes totally love to sit for hours watching my television and many of them will watch me when I'm on the computer staring at my monitor. It always made me wonder what the interest is perhaps the movement and actions on the screen or the colors and flashing of the scenes changing but I know if one of my snakes is watching TV and someone stands in front of them to block their view they will move to the side so they can see around someone that is blocking their view. The snake in this video is my girl Sunny and my oldest daughter April is also in this video.

Just a video I want to share with some of my friends on Youtube that have their first snake to basically tell them what they have to look forward to in raising their first snake and some tips on how to have a friendly social snake as your pet. Big Congratulations on a great choice to each of you regardless of the species of snake that you've decided to raise because they are ALL amazing animals :) The time and dedication that you invest in their quality of care has everything to do with how the animal reacts to other living creatures around it in it's environment !! Patience and observation are the key to raising healthy content snakes :o)
NEVER force any two animals of different species together the results can be harmful for either animal !!! My cat and snakes grew up together so have become pals over 14 years of time.

I love observing my snakes every opportunity I get and even more love when they teach me something new about them and their likes and dislikes. These snakes that I produced a few months ago were all problem eaters and by using the process of elimination I found a way to get them all to eat without assist feeding them. One more for the team :o) Another way to try and get those babies that are problem eaters to advance and now they can eat on their own without having me to assist feed them.

Love watching snakes shed all the time and energy they invest especially larger constrictors. It really isn't that simple of a process and it amazes me all the things that snakes accomplish without any legs, feet hands or arms. The snake in this video is Chewy my male Coastal Carpet Python. For a larger constrictor it generally takes up to an hour from the start to the finish of a shed and they usually sleep for a couple of days after a shed.

Snakes can still live like snakes even when they live in a captive environment. It's a great opportunity for them to explore and enhance their senses and learn to trust and bond with their handler :) Snakes in this video are my big girl, Ginger and my male Tipr also 5 feet long.

So many people assume that if a snake is coming toward them their intentions are to cause bodily harm or to attack a person when it fact snakes prefer to avoid a confrontation with a human !! People that don't understand a snakes body language assumes the snake is mean when it comes toward them but they aren't mean animals but in all reality they are just curious animals and curious about who and what you are and what you are doing !!
My snakes LOVE to watch my television with me and always love to watch my computer monitor and they are fascinated by both.
There are so many misconceptions about snakes because people don't take the time to learn more about them and it's wrong to kill snakes just because a person doesn't know much about them or is uncomfortable with them !!

I would like to personally thank all of my subscribers and thank you all for your support for the snakes and I really enjoy reading your comments :o) Sunny has been full of egg follicles this season but I decided against breeding my snakes this year and she had just recently eaten a medium frozen thawed rat :)
Thanks to a friend that bought a new professional tripod for his camera I now have his old one to use and trust me it's such a relief to film 11 foot snakes without having to hold the camera too at the same time LOL Sorry I looked frazzled had just taken my hair down after working in the yard.
My snakes will be going outdoors as always this time of the year and I will have better videos of them using the new professional tripod outdoors so I can handle my snakes without having to hold the camera. This is basically a test video so I can get used to the camera angles and lighting. The snake in this video is Sunny my female adult Pastel Ball Python and in my future videos I will identify each snake that is in each video and their species.
